Monday May 28th 18:30- 20:00 Tufts University Open Presentation:
Tufts University Dean of Admissions will conduct an open presentation at Robert College Suna Kirac Theater.
Presentation will be open to all local high school students and families.
Presentation Topic: The power of grades and test scores to secure admission at selective universities and colleges is often misunderstood. As the competition for spaces at selective universities continues to intensify, institutions have raised the prominence of other metrics in their decision making. Essays, recommendations, commitments outside of school, and interviews continue to increase in importance even as the number of applications and the time commitment to evaluating them grows. Dean of Undergraduate Admissions Lee Coffin will explain not only why that shift is taking place, but also what a student must do to compete for spots against applicants from all over the world.
